Getting Started

What to Expect

A walk-through of the interview process from start to finish.

How You Enter the Process

Depending on how the employer has set up their hiring process, you may enter in one of two ways:

Option 1: Public Application Form Some employers use a public application page at a URL the employer shares with you. You fill out a form, upload your resume, and submit — no invitation link required. After submitting, you'll receive a confirmation email and the employer may follow up with an interview invitation.

Option 2: Direct Interview Invitation The employer sends you a personalized interview link by email (or via Slack, LinkedIn, or another channel). Click the link to go directly to the interview flow.

Both paths are described below.

Application Form Flow

If you received a link to an application page:

1. Fill Out the Form

Complete the fields the employer has requested — these may include experience questions, availability, or short-answer questions specific to the role.

2. Upload Your Resume

A resume upload field is always included. Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF.

3. Optional Demographics (EEOC)

Some employers include a voluntary two-question demographics section (race/ethnicity and gender). This section is always optional — "Prefer not to answer" is available for every question. This data is used only for compliance monitoring and is never shared with the people reviewing your application.

4. Submit

After submission, you'll see a confirmation message and receive a confirmation email. The employer will contact you if they want to move forward.

Interview Flow

When you click your interview link, you'll go through these steps:

1. Privacy Disclosure

A clear explanation of what data is collected and what is not. You must acknowledge this before proceeding.

2. Resume Upload (Optional)

Upload your resume if you'd like the interviewer to have context about your experience. Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF.

3. Ready Check

A final confirmation before starting. This is your last chance to prepare.

4. Preparing (Voice Only)

For voice interviews, the system checks your camera and microphone. This takes a few seconds. If there's an issue, you'll get a troubleshooting checklist.

5. The Interview

  • Voice: Speak naturally with the AI interviewer through your microphone
  • Text: Type your responses in a chat interface
  • The interviewer asks structured questions related to the job's competencies
  • Answer thoroughly with specific examples from your experience
  • The interviewer may ask follow-up questions for clarification

6. Complete

You'll see a confirmation that your interview is complete. Your responses are being scored.

How Long Does It Take?

  • Light interviews (4 questions): ~10-15 minutes
  • Standard interviews (6 questions): ~15-25 minutes
  • Deep interviews (8 questions): ~25-35 minutes

Tips for a Great Interview

  • Find a quiet, well-lit space with a stable internet connection
  • Use specific examples from your work experience (the STAR method works well)
  • Speak clearly and take your time — there's no rush
  • It's okay to ask the interviewer to repeat or clarify a question
