Camera Issues

Troubleshooting camera and microphone problems.

Camera Permission Denied

If you accidentally blocked camera access:

Chrome

  1. Click the camera icon in the address bar (or the lock icon)
  2. Find "Camera" and change to "Allow"
  3. Refresh the page

Firefox

  1. Click the shield icon in the address bar
  2. Clear the camera permission
  3. Refresh the page and click "Allow" when prompted

Edge

  1. Click the lock icon in the address bar
  2. Set Camera to "Allow"
  3. Refresh the page

Camera Not Detected

  • Make sure your webcam is plugged in (for external cameras)
  • Check that the camera isn't being used by another application (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Try a different browser
  • Restart your browser

Face Detection Failed

The system uses face detection to verify a person is present. If it fails:

  • Make sure your face is clearly visible and well-lit
  • Remove hats, scarves, or anything that heavily obscures your face
  • Sit about arm's length from your camera
  • The system retries automatically once — if it fails twice, try refreshing the page

Your interview link remains valid even if setup fails. Refresh the page to try again — no invitation is consumed until the interview actually starts.
