Camera Issues
Troubleshooting camera and microphone problems.
Camera Permission Denied
If you accidentally blocked camera access:
Chrome
- Click the camera icon in the address bar (or the lock icon)
- Find "Camera" and change to "Allow"
- Refresh the page
Firefox
- Click the shield icon in the address bar
- Clear the camera permission
- Refresh the page and click "Allow" when prompted
Edge
- Click the lock icon in the address bar
- Set Camera to "Allow"
- Refresh the page
Camera Not Detected
- Make sure your webcam is plugged in (for external cameras)
- Check that the camera isn't being used by another application (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
- Try a different browser
- Restart your browser
Face Detection Failed
The system uses face detection to verify a person is present. If it fails:
- Make sure your face is clearly visible and well-lit
- Remove hats, scarves, or anything that heavily obscures your face
- Sit about arm's length from your camera
- The system retries automatically once — if it fails twice, try refreshing the page
Your interview link remains valid even if setup fails. Refresh the page to try again — no invitation is consumed until the interview actually starts.
