Voice Interview
How Voice Interviews Work
A guide to the voice interview experience.
Voice interviews are conversational — you speak naturally with an AI interviewer, just like you would with a human.
The Experience
- After clicking "Begin Interview," the system checks your camera and microphone
- Once verified (usually 2-3 seconds), the AI interviewer introduces itself
- The interviewer asks questions one at a time
- Speak your answer clearly — the AI processes your speech in real-time
- You'll see a live transcript of the conversation on screen
- The interviewer may ask follow-up questions for clarification
- When all questions are covered, the interviewer wraps up
- Click "End Interview" or the interviewer will close the session
What You See on Screen
- Chat bubbles — your words and the interviewer's appear as a live transcript
- Speaking indicator — pulsing animation when the AI is speaking
- Elapsed timer — how long the interview has been running
- Camera indicator — small icon confirming your camera is active (no video feed is shown)
- End Interview button — click to end early if needed
Tips
- Speak at a natural pace — the AI handles normal conversational speed
- It's okay to pause and think before answering
- Use specific examples (STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result)
- If you didn't understand a question, ask the interviewer to repeat it
