Voice Interview
Camera & Microphone Setup
How to ensure your camera and microphone work for the interview.
Before the interview starts, the system verifies your camera and microphone are working.
What Happens
- Your browser asks for camera permission — click "Allow"
- Your browser asks for microphone permission — click "Allow"
- The system loads a face detection model (takes 2-3 seconds)
- Once both are confirmed, the interview starts automatically
Why Is a Camera Needed?
The camera is used only for real-time face detection to verify:
- One person is present at the screen
- You're generally looking at the screen during the interview
No video is recorded or stored. The camera feed is processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted.
If It Fails
If camera or microphone setup fails:
- The system automatically retries once
- If it fails again, you'll see a troubleshooting checklist:
- Check that your camera is connected and not covered
- Make sure browser permissions are set to "Allow"
- Try a different browser (Chrome works best)
- Check your internet connection
- Your interview link is still valid — refresh the page to try again
